FAQ
You can create all our products online directly on our website or in our downloadable application, which is available on our site.
No, both the downloadable program and the online application are completely free.
Choose the type of project you want to create. There are two options available:
- Online creation in a browser
- Desktop application (Windows/macOS)
If you choose the desktop version, click directly on the link for your operating system. The installation file will be downloaded; then run it and complete the installation.
Photo previews in the editor may appear slightly blurry or out of focus. This is due to performance optimization, as MCLAB saves your computer's RAM. It is only a simplified preview, not the actual print quality.
The final photo product is printed directly from the original files, which we do not modify in any way. The resulting print quality therefore corresponds to the quality of your uploaded photos.
Please pay attention to the warning icons (!) which indicate low resolution—these photos may be out of focus or pixelated when printed. Photos of poor quality are not a reason for a complaint.
If you use photos downloaded from chat applications (e.g., WhatsApp, Messenger), please verify their quality. These programs often automatically reduce the resolution and compress the image files.
The maximum recommended photo resolution is 2000 x 2000 pixels.
If the photo is larger (has too high a resolution), an error message may appear when submitting the project for printing. In that case, the program cannot process the image.
To adjust the resolution, you can use a program like Paint, which is a standard part of Windows:
Open the photo in Paint.
In the top menu, click on Resize.
Select the pixels option and enter the new dimensions (max. 2000 x 2000).
Save the image.
After this adjustment, you can upload the photo to the program or online editor again.
The technological space is a zone of about 1 cm from the edge of the page, which is used for the technical processing of printing. Due to manufacturing tolerance (approx. ±2 mm), do not place any important elements such as text or parts of photos in this area—they may be cropped or shifted too close to the edge.
If you want a photo to be printed right up to the edge (without a white border), it must extend beyond the dashed line in the editor. Conversely, if you want to maintain safe margins, place the content only within the dashed area.
For book covers, the paper may bend during production—therefore, do not place important parts (e.g., headings or faces) near the edges. For photo books without a flat lay binding, also account for the space needed for the binding.
Errors caused by the incorrect placement of content in the technological space are not a reason for a complaint. In the event of a faulty cover, a new one can be printed for a fee.
It is not possible to duplicate a calendar project and reuse it for another year, as duplication copies the project without any changes, and the calendar would therefore not be up to date.
A voucher is a coupon for a specific product with a monetary value that is deducted from the basic price of the product after verification, so the final price can be zero. However, a voucher does not include shipping costs, and the amount may be increased by optional surcharges.
A discount code is a special code that, when entered, reduces the price of a product or multiple products—either by a percentage or a fixed amount. It may also apply to shipping costs. A discount code cannot be purchased and does not represent a monetary coupon.
